BlueScreen: a real error in Windows Vista

So I come in this morning to see my computer has restarted sometime over the weekend.  Maybe it was a required Windows update, maybe is was something else updating or even Windows LiveCare doing its thing to block intruders.

It wasn't.  See the Problem Event Name.

Nothing more to say.

I have the same problem. I have an HP Pavilion factory loaded with Vista. I put the machine to sleep (as recommended) and the next thing I know it's back on and not even using the screen saver. I thought the whole idea of putting it to sleep was to stop any computer action. If it needs my ok to run updates, then I don't think that's what is going on. I didn't have this problem (blue screen) until I added an external HD. I have had the problem with the sleep mode since day 1. Either I try to awake from sleep and it goes to desktop and then goes right back to sleep, or I put it to sleep (all buttons yellow) and ten minutes later it's back on. Vista is maddening. And the only help I got from Microsoft was to restore. If you have to save everything externally (cds, dvds, external HDs in order to not lose your info, what the heck good is it as a computer?
